Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh took the high-profile opportunity on National Signing Day to confirm that the Wolverines will hold their first week of spring drills in Florida, according to multiple reports.
News of Harbaugh's plan — to take the Wolverines to Bradenton, Fla., for a week of spring practice at IMG Academy — first broke last month.

Apparently, travel isn’t prohibited in the NCAA rules governing spring practice and cost is likely not a factor for a big program like Michigan's.
The initial report by MLive.com in January said a trip to Florida had to be cleared with the school’s compliance department, the Big Ten and NCAA.
In addition to the weather benefits, a week in Bradenton would likely help the Wolverines with recruiting efforts in Florida.
As with all things Harbaugh, keep an eye on the reaction from opposing coaches and athletic directors now that it appears the plan as been approved.
