Derrick Brown, the No. 9 prospect in the class of 2016 and top player in Georgia, is heading to Auburn.

The 6-4, 320-pound interior defensive lineman earned five-star status from Rivals, Scout, ESPN and 247Sports. He had 106 total tackles, 42 for loss, and 12 sacks as a senior in 2015. Lanier went 12-1 last season and reached the second round of the Georgia Class 5A state tournament.
In his career, Brown racked up 270 tackles, 81 for loss, 33.5 sacks and three interceptions. For much of the last year, many recruiting experts expected him to stay in-state with the Bulldogs.
